"TUN" represents an authentic recognition of the individual abilities of people with disabilities and aims to create an artistic link between art and the daily lives of the residents.
The artwork attempts to redefine the narrative by making the home not only a place of care, but also a platform for artistic exploration and self-determination.
Boukal's project, called "TUN" - which means "to do" or "to act" - focuses on the independent actions of the residents. The goal was to strengthen their confidence in their own abilities and to promote their sense of self-worth. Boukal spent several weeks on site accompanying the residents in their daily activities. After becoming part of the community, she captured the diverse activities and possibilities of their hands in black-and-white photographs.
