Contemporary art by 14 creatives in the 1st, 4th, 6th, 9th districts

Works by contemporary visual artists are currently on display in four Viennese district museums. Paintings and other creations can be viewed free of charge until Friday 29 June. Andreas Dworak and Walter Berger developed the concept for the "Spuren legen" art campaign and took on the project management. The exhibitions at the District Museum Innere Stadt (1., Wipplinger Straße 8, "Altes Rathaus"), the District Museum Wieden (4., Klagbaumgasse 4), the District Museum Mariahilf (6., Mollardgasse 8) and the District Museum Alsergrund (9., Währinger Straße 43) are open from Wednesday to Friday between 4.00 and 7.00 pm. Further information: www.bezirksmuseum.at.

As part of the "Spuren legen" art campaign, Christoph Lissy, Andrea Reisinger, Turi Werkner, Marietta Huber, Andrea Kalteis, Paul Albert Leitner, Otto Zitko, Cäcilia Falk, Constantin Luser, Stefan Ortbauer, Frenzi Rigling, Christine Baumann, Hermann J. Hendrich and Ernst Schmidt jr. confront the public with their work. The aim of the project is to promote people's encounter with modern art in an unusual situation or in combination with a look back at the district's history.

The "Spuren legen" campaign is supported by "Basis.Kultur.Wien" and the "ARGE Wiener Bezirksmuseen".
